At Wuesthoff, we help families understand what is happening through education and playful activities. Play is valuable because it is both therapeutic and it brings joy. It also is an important part of getting better - both physically and emotionally.

The pediatric staff does more than just serve the medical needs of the child. Our pediatric nurses answer children's questions and discuss their fears honestly and at a level young patients can understand. Also, nurses openly share information with parents, and encourage parent suggestions and involvement.

Another way we comfort our young patients is to allow a parent to sleep overnight in the child's private room. Staying with your child offers security and comfort for you too.
