The Wuesthoff Wound Care & Hyperbaric Center specializes in the
comprehensive management and treatment of problem non-healing wounds. The
center offers the latest medical developments including genetically derived
growth factor therapy, living tissue grafts and hyperbaric medicine. The center
also offers one of the largest, accredited and highly sophisticated hyperbaric
chambers in the United States. Emphasis is placed on aggressive and early
intervention to avoid the potential for limb amputation.
Hyperbaric medicine utilizes advanced technologies derived from the diving and
aerospace industry to achieve proper oxygen delivery to the non-healing wound
site. Patients are placed into a comfortable and safe environment where they
breathe pure oxygen while under pressure. The treatments are safe, comfortable
and in most cases very effective when other treatments have failed.
Each patient undergoes a comprehensive evaluation whereby a treatment plan is
recommended by the multi-disciplinary staff. Each patient is followed closely
until complete wound healing has been achieved.
Commonly treated disorders include
surgical wounds, diabetic ulcers, bone infections,
vascular ulcers, venous stasis insufficiency and wounds associated with
radiation therapy.
Wuesthoff is proud to offer the latest in medical advances for the treatment of
non-healing wounds.
