More than 50 million Americans struggle each day with pain which alters their ability
to perform necessary daily activities and interferes with their ability to enjoy
life.
The Wuesthoff Pain Management Center is dedicated to providing Brevard County residents
with comprehensive care and treatment for those individuals whose lives are impacted
by acute, chronic or periodic pain. We offer a multidisciplinary approach to individualized
care with compassion and respect in a nurturing atmosphere.
Anyone can develop pain. In fact, more than 433 million workdays are lost every
year due to chronic pain. However, persistent pain is not a normal part of aging,
and treatment should be sought. Our goal is to improve quality of life by restoring
function and increasing mobility, alleviating suffering, reducing stress and improving
coping strategies, diminishing dependency on pain medication and teaching alternatives
to pain control. Some of the pain disorders that we offer treatment for include:

- Cervical/thoracic pain
- Muscular pain
- Chronic regional pain syndrome
- Neuropathic pain
- Post-herpetic neuralgia
- Cancer pain
The Wuesthoff Pain Management Center's multidisciplinary team consists of anesthesiologists
who are fellowship trained in pain management, a neurosurgeon, physical therapists,
psychologist and professional nursing staff. The mental health component of the
program provides psychological testing, evaluation and counseling. Wuesthoff's Pain
Management Center uses a variety of methods to treat chronic pain.
