Wuesthoff Health System recently unveiled their newest real-time system that has been proven to improve patient safety and quality care. "This new system, known as the PatientTouch(R) system is an innovative and comprehensive mobile technology platform that will help our caregivers spend more time on patient care," said Sudandra Ratnasamy, Wuesthoff Medical Center-Melbourne’s Chief Nursing Executive.
"The PatientTouch system is a smart point-of-care mobile solution that enables our staff to orchestrate patients’ data, and clinical processes in real time," said Pamela Carroll, Wuesthoff Medical Center-Rockledge’s Chief Nursing Executive. "We will be using this new system for current patient status, vitals collection and medication administrations to continue our ever important focus on patient safety."
The PatientTouch system facilitates clinical communications and information capture, documentation, and distribution. By eliminating inefficient workflows, the PatientTouch system enables frontline care teams to reallocate time back to effectively taking care of the patient.
The PatientTouch system also enforces patient identification and care verification. Clinical information is delivered in real-time to frontline caregivers to aid decision-making and ensure that the patient receives the right care at the right time, all at the point-of-care.
"We are excited about this new system," said Tim Cerullo, Wuesthoff Health System CEO. "We have seen the benefits and know it will take our patient care to a new level."
