MELBOURNE, FL – Neurologist Jennifer E. Matos-Rodriguez, M.D., has joined Neurology Associates of Brevard, one of Wuesthoff Health System’s physician clinics.

As a neurologist, Dr. Matos-Rodriguez diagnoses and treats injuries and illnesses that affect the brain, spine and nervous system including:

• Epilepsy and other seizure disorders;
• Stroke;
• Various headaches including migraine, cluster and tension headaches;
• Multiple Sclerosis and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (Lou Gehrig’s Disease)
• Parkinson’s Disease;
• Alzheimer’s Disease and other forms of dementia;

Dr. Matos-Rodriguez is trained to perform nerve conduction and electromyography studies in diagnosing conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome and diabetic neuropathy, but has a particular interest in working with stroke patients.

Dr. Matos-Rodriguez attained her medical degree at University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine, followed by an internship at VA Caribbean Heath Care System in Puerto Rico, and then a Neurology residency at Memorial Hermann - Texas Medical Center.  She is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the Texas Medical Association and is fluent in English and Spanish.
