Volunteer Program

Volunteers are part of a long and proud tradition of selfless giving at Wuesthoff Health System. They add a warm and special touch to our health care services. Volunteers bring their time, skill and compassion to Wuesthoff. They can brighten a patient’s day and lighten the staff's workload.

Anyone age 14 and older can volunteer, upon successful completion of an appropriate background check and screening. Many teenagers volunteer to learn about the health care industry and gain useful experience. Volunteer opportunities range from quiet office work, to technical jobs, to social interaction with patients.

Our patients and staff can benefit from the talents you can offer. When volunteering, you can work as little or as much as your schedule permits. Besides the reward of helping others, Wuesthoff volunteers receive a number of tangible benefits. Volunteers receive discounts at Lori's Gifts and in the hospital cafeterias. Volunteer benefits also include free blood pressure checks, health fairs and screenings, free coffee while on duty, flu shots and a yearly recognition luncheon.
