As Brevard’s first MAKOplasty patient, Kevin was positively back to his active lifestyle in no time
Several months ago, Kevin wasn’t sure if he would be able to continue walking his postal route. Today, thanks to the efforts of Dr. Anthony Ware and a new minimally invasive partial knee procedure, he’s back to filling mailboxes and an active lifestyle. The procedure, known as MAKOplasty®, is only offered at Wuesthoff, and Kevin is proud to be the first patient for the procedure and experience its benefits of a shorter hospital stay, quicker recovery and a smaller incision as compared to a traditional, total knee replacement.
“My plan has always been to remain active as long as my body holds up. A full knee replacement wasn’t all that appealing to me, so I started looking for other alternatives.”
--Kevin Baker (patient of Anthony Ware, M.D. Orthopedic Surgeon)
